If you already have the footage, real estate video editing costs roughly $10 to $80 per video with AI tools, $30 to $150 with budget outsourcing services, $100 to $250 with a premium editing studio, and $250 to $1,000 with a full-service agency. The price depends on the length, the style, how many formats you need, how many revisions are included, and how fast you need it back.
1. The quick answer
These are typical 2026 prices per finished video, when you or your videographer supply the footage:
- AI editing tools: $10 to $80. Fast and cheap, but template-driven, with little control over pacing or color.
- Budget outsourcing services: $30 to $150. Imagen's 2026 guide to outsourced real estate editing puts standard pricing in this range.
- Premium editing studios: $100 to $250. Custom color grading, licensed music, speed ramps and titles, cut for your brand.
- Full-service agencies: $250 to $1,000. AutoReel's 2026 cost comparison lists agency production in this range, usually with several days' turnaround.
2. Editing only vs filming and editing
A lot of confusing price comparisons come from mixing two different services. Editing only means you send footage and get back a finished video. Full production means someone also comes to the property to film it.
Full production is much more expensive because it includes time on site, equipment, drone flights and travel. AutoReel's 2026 guide puts basic walkthrough videos at around $200 to $500, and cinematic packages with drone and agent-led segments at $800 to $2,500 or more.
If you already film your own listings, or you work with a videographer, you only need editing, and that is where the savings are.
3. What changes the price
- Length: a 30-second reel takes far less time than a 2-minute listing film.
- Style: speed ramps, kinetic titles and AI or visual effects shots add editing time.
- Formats: a vertical reel and a horizontal film from the same footage is two edits, not one.
- Revisions: one round is standard for budget services. More rounds cost more, or are only included in higher packages.
- Turnaround: fast delivery often carries a rush fee. Fotober notes that delivery in under 24 hours can add 25% to 50% to the base price.
- Volume: most studios charge less per video when you commit to a monthly number.
5. Per video vs a monthly plan
If you post more than a few videos a month, a monthly plan is usually cheaper. Here's a worked example using our own prices, for an agent who posts 15 videos a month with kinetic titles:
- 01Paying per video: 15 × $130 (Kinetic edit) = $1,950 a month.
- 02Monthly plan: Agent 10 ($900) plus 5 extra videos at $90 each = $1,350 a month.
- 03Difference: $600 a month, or $7,200 a year, with titles, priority and up to 10 revision rounds included.

We edit only. You or your videographer film the property and send us the footage.
7. How to budget
- 01Count how many videos you actually post a month, across listings and social media.
- 02Decide which formats you need: vertical for Reels and TikTok, horizontal for YouTube and MLS, or both.
- 03Pick the style your market expects. Luxury listings usually need a cinematic edit, while everyday listings do well with a fast reel.
- 04Compare per-video and monthly pricing at your real volume, including revisions and formats.
Questions to ask before you hire an editor
- Is the price for editing only, or does it include filming?
- How many revision rounds are included?
- Is the music licensed for commercial use?
- Is a second format (vertical or horizontal) included?
- How fast is the first cut, and is there a rush fee?
- Are captions and titles included?
- Is there a monthly price for my volume?
